- Be as specific as possible with examples.
- Be honest, but not cruel.
- When giving negative feedback:
- Be sure to give it in a timely fashion. Don’t “hold onto” feedback for weeks or months. Deal with the issue as it arises.
- Be kind and patient.
- Give clear examples and actions they can take to improve (see list below)
